Er schenkt die wahre Seelenruh He gives true peace of soul Und rufet jedem tröstlich zu: and calls with comfort to each one: Dein Sünd ist dir vergeben. your sin is forgiven you.

	Der Heiland nimmt die Sünder an: The saviour accepts sinners: Wie lieblich klingt das Wort in meinen Ohren! how delightful sounds that word in my ears! Er ruft: Kommt her zu mir, He calls : Come here to me, Die ihr mühselig und beladen, you who are weary and burdened, Kommt her zum Brunnquell aller Gnaden, come here to the source of all mercy, Ich hab euch mir zu Freunden auserkoren! I have chosen you for myself as friends!
