The Japanese tenor, Satoshi Mizukoshi, earned his Bachelor's and Master's degree in classical and early music singing at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, currently he is pursuing advanced studies in singing an historical performance practise at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague working with Peter Kooy, Rita Dams and Michael Chance.
Since 1997 he has sung regularly with Bach Collegium Japan and has performed as a soloist in European festivals such as Bachwoche Ansbach (Germany), Festival de Música de Canarias (Spain).
Since he has moved to the Netherlands he has sung as a member of Collegium Vocale Gent (Philippe Herreweghe), Nederlands Kamerkoor, Sette Voci (Peter Kooy), Vox Luminis and was invited as a soloist to "Europa Cantat XVII Utrecht". He is in demand as the Evangelist in the Passions of J.S. Bach in Japan and has been heard singing numerous Bach cantatas. |
