The renowned Hungarian soprano, Mária Zádori, has been soloist of the Ars Renata Ensemble since 1971, and is a founding member of the Early Music Society of Hungary and the Hungarian Bach Society. She was a member of the Hungarian Radio and Television Choir until 1986, and later became soloist of the Hungarian National Philharmonia.
Her interpretations of Baroque music have secured her a place on the international early music scene, to which numerous prizes awarded Mária Zádori and her many recordings bear witness. The latter include works by Mozart, J.S. Bach, Scarlatti, Dietrich Buxtehude and Antonio Vivaldi. Her performances in the title role of Johann Joseph Fux’s Pulcheria and in George Frideric Handel’s Brockes Passion, HWV 48 have been widely praized. She has toured extensively in Europe, the USA and Australia, and makes frequent appearances in all the important early music festivals. The long list of artists and ensembles she worked with includes Ton Koopman, Nicholas McGegan, René Jacobs, Hermann Max and Il Giardino Armonico. |
