Konrad Jarnot (Baritone)

Born: England

The English baritone, Konrad Jarnot, studied voice with Professor Rudolf Piernay at the London Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where he was awarded the gold medal, as well as with Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau.

After winning First Prize at the 2000 ARD Music Competition in Munich, the attention of the entire music world turned to Konrad Jarnot. Invitations by important presenters take him to such venues as the Royal Albert Hall London, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Theatre des Champs-Elysees Paris, Konzerthaus Berlin, Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, Festspielhaus Salzburg, Gewandhaus Leipzig, Tonhalle Zürich, KKL Luzern, Savonlinna Hall, Auditorium Tel Aviv, Palau de la Musica Barcelona, Palais des Beaux Arts Bruxelles, Benaroya Hall Seattle, Wigmore Hall London, Scottish National Opera, Philharmonie Beograd, Philharmonie Bratislava, Theatre de Poissy, Musikhalle Hamburg, Tonhalle Düsseldorf, Philharmonie München, Philharmonie Essen, Herkulessaal München, Prinzregententheater München, Beethovenhalle Bonn and Liederhalle Stuttgart.

As a Lied singer, Konrad Jarnot works worldwide with pianists Helmut Deutsch, Hartmut Höll, Ulrich Eisenlohr, Norman Shetler, Ralf Gothoni, Fritz Schwinghammer and Alexander Schmalcz, singing in London, Munich, Dresden, Stuttgart, Zürich, Luzern, Salzburg, Amsterdam, Savonlinna, Palermo, Luxor, Seattle, Los Angeles, Salt Lake City and Boston.

Konrad Jarnot is a regular guest in such recording studios as Radio France, BBC, DRS, ORF, RTB, Radio 4, Concertzender, DLF and ARD. Numerous CD releases for Orfeo and Oehms Classics document his exceptional abilities.
