Wolf-Matthias Friedrich (Baritone)

Born: Leipzig, Germany

The German baritone, Wolf-Matthias Friedrich, studied singing at the Leipzig College of Music and was a prize-winner in the International Dvorák Competition in Carlovy Vary in 1980.

From 1982 to 1986 Wolf-Matthias Friedrich was a member of the opera studio at the Dresden State Opera. Since 1986 he has made a name for himself in concert recitals and as Lieder specialist, ass his numerous highly-acclaimed CD’s testify. Commitments in the opera and concert world have taken him all over Europe and several times to Israel.

In addition Wolf-Matthias Friedrich teaches at the Leipzig College of Music and Drama.
