Armelle Cardot (Soprano)

Born: October 13, 1983 - Riedisheim, France

The French soprano, Armelle Cardot, studied at Ecole Intercommunale (Beze) in Beze (1990-1991). She began singing at her younger years in the Maîtrise de Dijon during her studies at Collège Privé Maîtrise De Dijon École Maitrisienne Régionale (1991-1999). She later studied at Lycée Saint-Benigne in Dijon (1998-1999) and at Lycée Jean De La Fontaine in Paris (1999-2001), She decided to become a musician and since the age of 17 continued singing in the Maîtrise de Radio France; then from the age of 23, at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, where she specialized in Baroque music with Evelyn Tubb. Simultaneously, she joined the Conservatoire of the city of Colmar, where she studied with with Francis Jeser, and which she finished in 2009 with a gold medal and honors.

Armelle Cardot is passionate about choral singing and working in the Ensemble Pygmalion (Director: Raphaël Pichon), Vox Luminis (Director: Lionel Meunier), Sequenza 9.3, etc.
