I received this morning Berkshire Record Outlet's last catalogue, and I saw a 1951 Mass in B minor BBC recording, conducted by Enescu, with Kathleen Ferrier and Peter Pears. Three great names.
Does someone know this recording and have comments ? |

[To Aryeh Oron] I just read those remarks and I agree with most of it. But there is some georgeous singing there, mainly by Danco and Ferrier. I should play it again, it's been quite a while, but I seem to remember that I didn't like Pears much in this repertoire - and I do like him in many other pieces of later dates. |
