Ensemble Musica Poetica Freiburg (Baroque Instrumental & Vocal Ensemble) |

Founded: 1985 - Freiburg, Germany |

Ensemble Musica Poetica Freiburg (= EMPF) was founded in 1985. The individual members come from Freiburg, the area south of Baden and of Baden-Württemberg as well as Switzerland. Since the establishment a selection of musicians in concert practice for many years, found their identity at Musica Poetica. The ensemble used from the outset historical instruments and/or their reproductions, in order to be able to perform the music of the Baroque as original-faithfully as possible. In the course of its concert practice the ensemble could increase the orchestra size for its performances with more than thirty musicians. |
