Barockorchester Bremen (Baroque Orchestra)

The Barockorchester Bremen (Bremen Baroque Orchestra), founded in 1990 on the initiative of Thomas Albert, draws on a membership comsisting mostly of graduates of the Academy of Early Music in Bremen. One of the leading German Baroque orchestras, it has achieved a high measure of renown with its numerous concerts, radio broadcasts, and CD productions. Its repertoire includes classics of the 17^th century (Arcangelo Corelli, Antonio Vivaldi) as well as orchestral music by J.S. Bach, George Frideric Handel, and Georg Philipp Telemann.
