Windsbacher Knabenchor (Boys Choir)

Founded: 1946 - Windsbach, Germany

The Windsbacher Knabenchor (= WKC) was founded in 1946 by Hans Thamm. Since 1978 until now Karl-Friedrich Beringer is the choir's musical director. Western Europe, the USA, Scandinavia, Israel, Japan and Taiwan have been toured until now, Norway and Malta were visited in accompany with our former president Richard v. Weizsäcker - and a lot of brilliant artistic recordings are the results of every day's hard work with boys aged 9 to 20. Accompanied by superb reviews Windsbach Boys Choir celebrated its fiftieth anniversary in 1996. Today the choir is one of Europe's top Boys Choirs.
