The German soprano, Aline Wilhelmy, studied singing at the Hochschule für Musik Mainz, most recently with Silke Evers. She received important musical impulses through master-classes with Andreas Scholl, Wolfgang Katschner, Michael Hofstetter, Ton Koopman and Janina Baechle. In 2011, she successfully participated in the International Meistersingerkurs in Neustadt and was awarded the prize.
Aline Wilhelmy gained stage experience in the soloist as well as in the field of ensemble work at the Stadttheater Koblenz, Stadttheater Gießen, Staatstheater Mainz, Oper Frankfurt and in the Hochschule für Musik Mainz productions. So she made in the 2012-2013 season her debut at the Staatstheater Mainz in the role of Armida in C. Pallavicino's La Gerusalemme liberata (Director: Sandra Leupold, Conductor: Christian Rohrbach). Another success in 2012 with the role of Coscoletto in the same work by Jacques Offenbach, directed by Katharina Thoma and musical direction of Wolfram Koloseus in a production for the Hochschule für Musik Mainz. At the Magdeburger Telemann Festtagen 2012, she sang the role of Quiteria in Georg Philipp Telemann's Don Quichotte (Director: Claudia Isabel Martin, Musical Director: Felix Koch). In addition, she has worked with directors such as Arila Siegert, Tilman Knabe and Roman Hovenbitzer and conductors such as Michael Schneider, Wolfgang Katschner, Michael Hofstetter, Ton Koopman, Misha Katz, Hermann Bäumer and Andrea Marcon.
Aline Wilhelmy has already performed a lot of concerts in various parts of Germany and neighboring European countries. She has already performed with renowned ensembles such as the Neumeyer Consort, Lautten Compagney Berlin and Philharmonischen Staatsorchester Mainz. She is also a member of the Kammerchor Stuttgart (Director: Frieder Bernius).
