Pauliner Barockensemble (Baroque Instrumental Ensemble)

Founded: 1994 - Leipzig, Germany

Das Pauliner Barockensemble (The Pauliner Baroque Ensemble) (= PBE) was established in December 1994 at the instigation of and under the directorship of Leipzig University musical director Wolfgang Unger. The ensemble comprises excellent musicians from Leipzig orchestras who play on historic instruments or faithful copies.

Their first concerts were followed by further appearances at the MDR Musiksommer festival and at the International Heinrich Schütz festival in Dresden.
