Florian Hartmann (Bass)

Born: 1992 - Reutlingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany.

The German bass, Florian Hartmann, gained his first musical experiences in the boys' choir Capella Vocalis Reutlingen e.V., which he joined at the age of 7 under the direction of Eckhard Weyand. Numerous foreign tours took him to China, Alaska, Norway and Italy, among others. He received his first vocal training and singing lessons from Ulrike Härter. In 2012 he began studying singing at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe, and a year later he began studying opera at the same time at the Institut für MusikTheater there with Professor Hanno Müller-Brachmann. He also received lessons from Professor Julia Varady-Fischer-Diskau and took part in several university opera productions. Most recently he played the Minister für Hasengesang in Der große Sängerkrieg der Heidehasen based on James Krüss. He completed both Bachelor's degrees in 2017 and then studied singing for a Master's degree, also in Karlsruhe. He completed this in 2019. He deepened his training in master-classes with Professor Georg Nigl, Professor Roger Vignoles, Helmut Lachenmann and Professor Klaus Häger at the Internationalen Bachakademie Stuttgart. He has been a prize-winner at the Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg since January 2014.

In Reutlingen, Florian Hartmann is very connected to the Kammeroper Reutlingen under director Winni Victor. At the theater “Die Tonne” Reutlingen he appeared in 2012 and 2013 as Christ in the production Bin ich’s? Leonardo Ma(h)l in Szene. Since 2016 he has been choir director of the Traditionschors des Liederkranz Nöttingen and since 2017 vocal coach of the Oratorienchor Pforzheim e.V. under the direction of Heike Hastedt, as well as in the boys choir Cantus Juvenum Karlsruhe. He performs regularly with the Vocalensemble Rastatt (Director: Holger Speck) & Les Favourites, including with the Chamber Orchestra of Europe in the Deutsche Grammophon production of W.A. Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro under the direction of Yannick Nézet-Séguin.

He has already sung with orchestras such as the Württembergischen Philharmonie, Brandenburger Symphonikern, Neuen Barockorchester Berlin, La Banda, Barockorchester L'arpa festante and the Deutschen Händelsolisten at the Händelfestspiele in Karlsruhe.
