The original Berliner Motettenchor was led by the esteemed German conductor, Fritz Lehmann. The choir, which was re-created in 1994, consists of professional singers, music students and singers and amteur singers professionally trained in music. The director Günter Brick works with this choir in small size. In the past years the choir has performed in public the Motets and Passions of of J.S. Bach, several oratorios of Händel, the Requiem of Mozart as well as numerous motets of Schütz und Distler.
