Bach-Collegium München (The Bach Collegium Munich) (= BCM) comprises leading musicians from the Bayerischer Rundfunk Symphony Orchestra, the Münchner Philharmoniker and the Bavarian State Orchestrn. Some of the members are prize-winners of national and international music competitions and hold professorships at German music colleges. The Bach-Collegium München is mainly devoted to baroque music, the classics and the romantics. The soloists for the instrumental concerts are generally recruited from among their own ranks. Both works for symphony orchestras and chamber music pieces are performed. The Mozart interpretations of the Bach-Collegium München are particularly esteemed. |
