Christian Friedrich Henrici (Picander); Full text contained in “Picanders Ernst=Schertzhaffte und Satyrische Gedichte,” Part II, Leipzig, 1729 and 1734.
Picander’s text for BWV 193a may have been based on an earlier text by Christian Friedrich Hunold, which Bach set to music in Köthen where the original music for BWV 193 may have been composed.
