There are not yet many music examples in this section. If you have any (legal) music example of any of Bach’s vocal works you would like to share with other Bach lovers, please send it to me, as an attachment to the message. Please write at the subject line that this is a music example. If you are aware of a music example of a recording of a Bach’s vocal work existing in other site, please send me the details, and I shall add the link accordingly.

The Issue of Copyright

Many music examples are not located at the Bach Cantatas Website (BCW), but in other sites, as appear in the list above. Clearing the copyright issue is the responsibility of the owner of the site in which the music files are located. All music files located in the BCW are received under the understanding that no such file of copyrighted material should be submitted to the BCW without having first received express permission from the copyright holder. This means that you can submit a music file of any public domain or that of copyrighted recording if you have the permission from the appropriate copyright holder.

The music files are offered in the BCW without any warranty as to their copyright status. Should you wish to have one or more file removed, please send an immediate request to me. The fact that a music file is in the BCW does not mean it is in the public domain or that you can freely copy or exploit these properties.
