Anatoly Drozdov (Composer, Arranger)

Born: November 4, 1883 - Saratov, Russia
Died: September 10, 1950 - Moscow, Russia

The Russian pianist, pedagogue, writer on music, and composer, Anatoly [Anatol] Drozdov [Drozdow], studied piano with Nikolai Dubasov at the St. Petersburg Conservatory, graduating in 1909.

Anatoly Drozdov was a professor of piano at the Ekaterinoder Conseravatory from 1911 to 1916), the Saratov Conservatory from 1918 to 1920, and the Moscow Conservatory from 1920 to 1924.

Anatoly Drozdov published many articles on music and composed 2 piano sonatas and other piano works, as well as chamber pieces. His brother, Vladimir Drozdov (1882-1960), was also a pianist and composer.
