Sigismondo Cesi (Arranger)

Born: May 24, 1869 - Naples, Italy
Died: 1936

The Italian pianist, Sigismondo Cesi was the son of the the Neapolitan pianist, Beniamino Cesi, and brother of the pianist Napoleone Cesi. Sigismondo was taught by his father and A. Longo for pianoforte, and by N. D'arienzo for theory.

In 1898 Sigismondo Cesi founded in Naples a Liceo Musicale, together with E. Marciano, and was its director. He published editions of the works of Schumann and Clementi, and was the author of a study on the 'history and literature of the pianoforte'.
