The Polish contralto, Ewa Wolak, received her musical training at the Music Conservatoire in Krakau (viola, singing). She completed her singing studies at the Music Academy in Krakau receiving a diploma with honour. As DAAD stipendiary, she studied continued at the University for Music in Karlsruhe. She is prize-winner of some singing competitions, among other them are WCs Hertogenbosch and Grand Prix Maria Callas in Athens. In 1998 she was distinguished as the Europe Culture Prize of the European Union. |
