Collegium Vocale Siegen (Chamber Choir)

Founded: Siegen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany

The Collegium Vocale Siegen of the Bach Bach-Chor Siegen makes music in a cast of 20 to 40 singers. This flexiblility allows the ensemble on one hand a repertoire that includes works from almost all periods; on the other hand it offers the possibility of specialization in the development of rhetorical and affective intentions in the so-called "early music".

The choir has performed at home and abroad. Tours have taken them to Israel, England, France, Italy and the Benelux countries. They also appear as guest at renowned music festivals, at the Thomaskirche in Leipzig, at the Frauenkirche in Dresden and regularly in the prestigious concert series "Das Meisterwerk" at the Kölner Philharmonie.

Performance in musical productions at stations such as WDR, HR or the DLF works from virtually all periods and the publication of CD-series complete the musical picture of the choir.
