The Belgian mezzo-soprano, Fran Van Lysebettens, began to take music lessons at music school. This changed her life completely and for that she is still extremely grateful. At music school she studied classical singing, harp and piano. After graduating from Kunsthumaniora Sint Lucas in 2010 where she studied visual arts (2008-2010), she decided to focus completely on music. She was accepted into the Royal Conservatory in Ghent for Music Theory (2010-2013). After achieving her Bachelor degree in Music Theory in 2013, she started studying Classical Singing at the Fontys Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Tilburg (2013-2018), meanwhile she continued to take lessons in Ghent with Frank Nuyts, studying “Introduction to Composition”.
In her spare time Fran Van Lysebettens plays the ukulele, draws, paints and works on the other side of the canvas as a model for the art classes. |
