The German soprano, Agnes Knoop, studied at the Goethe Gymnasium Rutheneum (Class of 2003 and MH Freiburg. She studied concert and opera singing at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" in Leipzig, and singing pedagogy, rhythmics and singing at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg im Breisgau (Class of 2012). In 2012 she completed her studies with Professor Wirtz with the note "very good" in the diploma. She attended master-classes, inter alia, with Klesie Kelly-Moog, Kurt Widmer and Beata Heuer-Christen.
In the summer of 2012 Agnes Knoop sang the role of Smeraldina at th Konstanzer Rathausoper and stood on stage, among others, as Gretchen in Der Wildschütz and Nerina in La fedeltà premiata. She is a member of several vocal ensembles including the Orpheus Vokalensemble, Rastatter Vokalensemble, Solistenensemble Stimmkunst (Director: Kay Johannsen) and Chapelle de la Vigne (Director: Bernhard Schmidt) and also worked as a concert singer. Her repertoire includes works from the 16th century to the present and from classical to jazz.
