Friedemann Klos (Bass)

Born: Germany

Ther German bass, Friedemann Klos, studied at the Hochschule für Musik "Carl Maria von Weber" Dresden in the class of Heidi Petzold. He made his first musical experiences as a member of the Dresdner Knabenchor and boy soloist of the Dresdner Kreuzchor. Already during his studies he was entrusted with numerous solo tasks as choir singer at the Deutsch-Sorbischen Volkstheather Bautzen as well as at the Landesbühnen Sachsen. Master-classes, including with Kammersänger Olaf Bär, at the Bach-Akademie Stuttgart under Helmuth Rilling, and lessons with Karin Mitzscherling complemented his education.

Since 1999 Friedemann Klos has worked freelance as a soloist and dedicates himself primarily to Lied and oratorio singing, with his repertoire includes works from the Renaissance to modern times. He was also a member of Dresdner Kammerchor (Director: Hans-Christoph Rademann). Numerous radio and CD productions document his artistic path.
