The Dutch tenor, Eric Jansen, decided at a later age to follow his passion and to combine his profession as a freelance general practitioner (studies at University of Groningen: 1995-2002) with the study of singing at the Utrechts Conservatorium with singing teacher Henny Diemer. He completed successfully his singing studies there (2009-2013).
Eric can be heard regularly as a soloist in J.S. Bach's cantatas and other oratorios. As a member of Studio 32 he participated in the opera productions "NozzeDonCosi" during the Grachtenfestival in Amsterdam and in Porgy en Bess with Het Gelders Orkest. In 2013 he made his debut as Evangelist in J.S. Bach's Matthäus-Passion (BWV 244) with the Utrechts Studenten Koor en Orkest and the following year as Evangelist in J.S. Bach's Johannes-Passion (BWV 245) with the Studentenkoor Amsterdam. In spring 2018, he performed as a soloist in Dvorák's Mass in D, Puccini's Messa di Gloria and J.S. Bach's Mass in B minor (BWV 232). He currently lives in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands. |
