Anne Horenburg (Soprano)

Born: July 30, 1974 - Germany

The German soprano, choral conductor and music teacher, Anne Horenburg, received first musical suggestions in her parents' house. She took violin and piano lessons at the Musikschule Neuruppin and Musikschule Salzwedel since she was 7 years old. She studied musicology and German studies (with a final exam) and in 1998 she studied choral conducting and accompaniment at the Hochschule für Musik "Carl Maria von Weber" in Dresden under Professor Hans-Christoph Rademann, performing in 2005 with the Kammerchor Pesterwitz and finished the predicate "Very good".

Already during her studies, Anne Horenburg was active as a choir director and accompanist in various opera productions at the Dresdner Musikhochschule, the Heinrich-Schütz- Konservatorium in Dresden, the Theater Meissen and the Philharmonischen Kinderchor Dresden. In 2003 she joined an assistant work at the Kammerchor der Singakademie Dresden and 2005-2008 at the Universitätschor Dresden. She also gained experience in the Philharmonischen Chor Dresden, the Dresdner Kammerchor (Director: Hans-Christoph Rademann) and the Latvian Choir "Dzine".

With the Kammerchor Pesterwitz, Anne Horenburg has been able to realize special program ideas in recent years, such as the fusion of the Weihnachtshistorien by Heinrich Schütz and Hugo Distler. In this context, there was a collaboration with various instrumentalists of the Dresden music scene, a specially composed for the concerts of the choir chamber orchestra, consisting of students and graduates of the Hochschule für Musik Dresden, the Batzdorfer Hofkapelle and the Dresdner Kapellsolisten (conducted by Helmut Branny).

Anne Horenburg holds the Kantor office in the St. Jakobusgemeinde Freital- Pesterwitz and is Artistic Director of the Pesterwitzer concerts. In addition, she works as a freelance choir director, conductor and music educator. Since 2005 she has been a freelancer at the Schauspielhaus Dresden, where she also rehearsed choral singing in addition to musical choral work. She currently lives in Dresden, Germany.
