Kammerchor der Dresden Singakademie (Chamber Choir)

Founded: Dresden, Saxony, Germany

The Kammerchor der Singakademie Dresden currently consists of about 45 singers. Reading music, good sight-singing and a willingness to intensive rehearsals and vocal training are a prerequisite for membership. The focus of the chamber choir work is intended for smaller ensembles repertoire from the Renaissance to contemporary. Particular attention is given to performing a cappella literature.

The rehersals are conducted by the Artistic director Professor Ekkehard Klemm and his assistants. In addition, even under the supervision of students at the Hochschule für Musik „Carl Maria von Weber”. In parallel with the rehearsals, voice training is offered.
