Kammerchor Hochtaunus (Chamber Choir)

Founded: 2021 - Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg, Germany

The Kammerchor Hochtaunus was founded in 2021. The originally formed as a selection ensemble from the Jugendchor Hochtaunus. Both choirs are directed by Tristan Meister. The choir came together for a week of rehearsals for the first time in September 2021 and developed a concert program entitled “Remember! Motetten Alter Meister”. The program for the first work phase included, among other things: Works by J.S. Bach, Felix Mendelssohn, Henry Purcell, Johann Hermann Schein and Heinrich Schütz. The choir made its debut at the Frauenfriedenskirche in Frankfurt am Main and at the Erlöserkirche Bad Homburg.

Tristan Meister is, among other things, artistic director of the Jugendchors Hochtaunus, Wormser Kammerensemble, Beethovenchors Ludwigshafen and Knabenchor Cantus Juvenum Karlsruhe and the ensemble Vocapella Limburg, which he founded and with which he has won many awards.

The Kammerchor Hochtaunus is supported by the Hochtaunus Saengerkreis and the Hochtaunuskreis.
