Born: Munich, Germany

The German choral conductor and bass, Gerald Häußler, numbers such eminent vocalists as Ernst Haefliger and Lorenz Fehenberger (the father) among his teachers. He studied voice and music education in his native city of Munich and amplified his training as a member of the studio at the Bavarian State Opera, where he sang such roles as Figaro in W.A. Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro and Guglielmo in W.A. Mozart's Così fan tutte. Concurrently Gerald Häussler recorded recital repertoire, for Radio Bavaria, Radio Nice and other stations.

Since 1985, Gerald Häußler, who also received an award from the Federal German Singing Competition in Berlin, has been a regular member of the Chor des Bayerischen Rundfunks. Besides this he can be heard regularly as a concert soloist, inter alia at the Bad Hersfeld Festival and in Andechs Monastery.
