Brigitte Engelhard (Harpsichord, Organ)

Born: 1949 - Salzburg, Austria

The Austrian harpsichordist and organist, Brigitte Engelhard, studied piano and harpsichord at the Mozarteum Hochschule in Salzburg, graduating with a soloist's diploma in both instruments.

Brigitte Engelhard is a much sought after soloist and player of chamber music in the international music scene. Numerous concerts in Europe and the USA and Asia, as well as many Radio and CD recordings bear witness to her artistic activity. Her specialist knowledge of keyboard instruments (harpsichord, organ, hammerflügel and piano) allow her to further a spectrum of music that ranges from historical performance technique right up to the realms of the contemporary.

Brigitte Engelhard directs a piano class at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg and is director of the department for science and pedagogy in the arts.
