The French bass, Renaud Delaigue, studied first piano at the Conservatoire d'Orléans, before deciding to turn to singing. He is graduate of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Lyon, and is a prize-winner of the International Competition "ada Sary" in Poland.
Renaud Delaigue was engaged at the Atelier Lyrique de l'Opéra National de Lyon in 1995 for two seasons. He has already performed many roles: operas of W.A. Mozart, Monteverdi, Berlioz, Charles Gounod, Charpantier, Lully, etc. He also appears frequently in oratorio: Cantatas, Magnificat and Passions by J.S. Bach, Te Deum by Charpentier, etc. His special interest in early music leads him to perform this repertoire with such ensembles as Les Arts Florissants (Director: William Christie), Ensemble Jacques Moderne (Director: Joël Suhubiette), and Ensemble Pygmalion (Director: Raphaël Pichon). |
