The French bass, Renaud Delaigue, studied first piano at the Conservatoire d'Orléans, before deciding to turn to singing. He is graduate of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Lyon, and is a prize-winner of the International Competition "ada Sary" in Poland.
Renaud Delaigue was engaged at the Atelier Lyrique de l'Opéra National de Lyon in 1995 for two seasons. He has already performed many roles: operas of Mozart, Monteverdi, Berlioz, Charles Gounod, Carpenter, Lully, etc. He also appears frequently in oratorio: Cantatas, Magnificat and Passions by J.S. Bach, Te Deum by Charpentier, etc. His special interest in early music leads him to perform this repertoire with such ensembles as Les Arts Florissants, Ensemble Jacques Moderne, and Ensemble Pygmalion. |
