Cantores Suaves (Vocal Ensemble)

Founded: 2008 - Vienna, Austria

The a cappella ensemble, Cantores Suaves, was founded in 2008 by Sigrid Sendler and Dr. Günter Schütz, with a successful first appearance at the Vienna Karlskirche. The first musical "home" became then the Viennese Peterskirche, in which the Cantores Suaves performs highly denmanded music at regular intervals. The The repertoire of the ensemble ranges from early music to contemporary; likewise the ensemble endeavors works of the orthodox church music and innovative, to bring back to life rarely heard choral music.

Since autumn 2010, Gerlinde Bachinger has directed the ensemble.
