Mark Brown (Choral Conductor)

Born: England

British conductor Mark Brown is one of the founders and directors of the early music vocal ensemble Pro Cantione Antiqua. Along with tenor James Griffett, counter-tenor Paul Esswood, and musicologist Bruno Turner, Brown helped create the distinctive profile of this ensemble where medieval and contemporary music were performed with equal dedication. Brown has led Pro Cantione Antiqua on tour in Europe, the USA, the Far East, and in nearly 90 recordings.
