The German soprano, Julia Barthe, received her vocal instruction at the Hamburg School of Music with Professor Gisela Litz. After graduation, she worked with chamber singer Renate Behle. She complete master courses with Kleesie Kelly, Barbara Schlick and Maria Venuti.

Later, Julia Barthe had leading parts in opera productions, among others as Poppea (Monteverdi), Fluvia (Ezio/Händel) and Euridice (Orpheus/Gluck), as well as in several scenic performances of Pierrot lunaire (Arnold Schoenberg) and the Liverpool Oratorio (Paul McCartney). Nevertheless, Julia Barthe preferences are in the field of song and oratorio. Concerts lead her to many Germany cities, e.g. to Stuttgart to Helmuth Rilling, and to several European countries.
