Cantus Neuss (Vocal Ensemble)

Founded: January 2015 - Neuss, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.

At the beginning of 2015, under the artistic direction of Joachim Neugart, the Ensemble Cantus Neuss was founded, a four to eight-part vocal ensemble of experienced soloists. The focus of the cooperation with the Baroque eensemble Sonare Neuss is the the performace of the cantatas by J.S. Bach, as well as the creation of vocal music of the Renaissance, in particular the masses by Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina. These masterpieces of vocal polyphony are presented on three Sundays a year in the high mass at the Quirinusmünster Neuss.
