Epistle: Romans 12: 1-6 We are all one in Christ

[1] I exhort you, dear brothers, by the mercy of God, that you offer your bodies as a sacrifice, that is living, holy and pleasing to God, which is your rational worship of God.

[2] And do not make yourselves like this world, but be transformed through the renewal of your mind, so that you may test what is the good, the agreeable and the perfect will of God.

[3] For I say through the grace, that has been given to me, to each one among you, that nobody should think more highly of himself, than it is proper to think of himself, but should think of himself with moderation, each person according to the measure of faith god has assigned him.

[4] For just as we in one body have many members, but all the members do not have the one task,

[5] so are we many one in Christ;but mutually is one a member of another

[6] And we have various gifts according to the grace, which has been given us.

Gospel: Luke 2: 41-52 Jesus in the temple.

[41] And his parents used to go every year to Jerusalem for the Easter festival.

[42] And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem for the festival as usual.

[43] And when the days were ended and they were returning home, the child Jesus stayed in Jerusalem; and his parents did not know of this.

[44] But they supposed he was among the company, and went a day’s journey and looked forhim among their relatives and acquaintances.

[45] And when they did not find him they went back to Jerusalem and looked for him.

[46] Amd it happened that after three days they found him sittting in the temple in the middle of the teachers, so that he was listening to them and asking questions.

[47] And all those who heard him were amazed at his understanding and his replies.

[48] And when they saw him, they were astonished. And his mother said to him : ‘My son, why have you done this to us ?Your father and I have looked for you with anxiety.’

[49] And he said to them : ‘How is it that you looked for me?Did you not know that I must be in that which is my father’s?’

[50] And they did not understand the word that he spoke to them.

[51] And he went with them and returned to Nazareth and was obedient to them. And his mother kept all these words in her heart.

[52] And Jesus increased in wisdom, age and grace with God and men.
