Died: between December 1713 and June 5, 1715 - Kassel, Germany

Daniel Eberlin was a German Kapellmeister and composer. He had a wandering life. After a short military career (he fought as a captain of the papal troops in the Greek peninsula), he worked first as a librarian in his hometown Nürnberg; then was promoted to Kapellmeister in Eisenach; worked then in this position also in Kassel; returned for some time to Eisenach and lived from 1713 again in Kassel, where he also died.

Daniel Eberlin composed cantatas and a collection of trio sonatas of high musical quality. However, only few of his works have survived. Among his pupils was the composer and officer Georg von Bertouch (1668-1743).
