Christoph Bach was son of Johann Bach [2]. He was a court musician in Weimar, then from 1642 a town musician in Erfurt and from 1654 court and town musician in Arnstadt. A musical entry by him in the album of Georg F. Reimann, Kantor in Saalfeld, survives.
