History & Mission:

Festival Bach à Pâques is held at Easter every year at Easter, in the town of Saint-Maixent-l'Ecole ( Deux Sevres ) and is organized by the Collectif Régional d'Activités Musicales de la Région Poitou-Charentes (le CoRéAM).
The CoRéAM is an association governed by the law of July 1, 1901 whose purpose is the promotion of musical activity in the region. The association now has nearly 200 members and, also, the organizer of the Festival d'Automne «Coréades».
In 1982, Jean-Yves Gaudin with Louise Biscara creates CoRéAM which aims to encourage the practice of choral singing through the workshops (Ensemble Choral Régional, Ensemble Vocal Bach, chœurs d'hommes) framed by professionals and voluntary and open to all. More than 100 classical concerts are held since the creation of these packages, a wide repertoire, varied (classical, medieval, Renaissance) and often prestigious Mozart , Verdi , Puccini , Berlioz , Johannes Brahms, etc..
