Dagmar Wietschorke (Soprano)

Born: Würzburg, Bavaria, Germany

The Germa soprano, Dagmar Wietschorke, initially studied to become a primary school teacher at the at Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg and completed the training with the 1st and 2nd state examination (1987). In her second degree from 1985 to 1990, she majored in singing with Professor Ingeborg Hallstein at the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg.

Since that time Dagmar Wietschorke has taken part in numerous opera and church concerts. In May 1988, she made her theater debut at the Stadttheater Würzburg with the leading role in Der Machandelbaum, an opera by Ph. Glass and R. Moran, which thus experienced its European premiere. Since April 1989 she has been engaged as a soprano in the RIAS-Kammerchor Berlin. She currently lives in Bernau, near Berlin, Germany.
