Irmgard Weber (Soprano)

Born: Bonn, Germany

The German soprano, Irmgard Weber, studied first school music, and later got training in breath, speech and singing, with Anneliese Lurtjohann, Elizabeth Goebel, Peter Jacoby and Ulla Groenewold. She supplements her training with master-classes with Kurt Widmer, Peter Elkus, and Jessica Cash.

Irmgard Weber has taught at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hannover, at the University of Hanover and at the Schule Schlaffhorst-Andersen für Atmung und Stimme.

Irmgard Weber has extensive concert activity (oratorios, Lieder recitals, Chanson programs), in her homeland and other European countries, with a widespread repertoire from 17th to 20th Centuries.
