Vox Bona (Chamber Choir)
Founded: Bonn, Germany
Vox Bona, the Kammerchor (Chamber Choir) of the Kreuzkirch in Bonn, performs a-cappella chorch music, sings with famous professional orchestras (Johann-Christian-Bach-Akademie, Düsseldorfer Hofmusik, Concerto Köln), is committed to substantive challenging theme concerts and is curious and experimenting new ways in the music - art - improvisation. The choir has international reputations, through concert tours in Germany and abroad, successful CD and radio productions, and numerous competitions, such as: 1996: 1^st Prize at the State Choir Competition NRW; 1997: 4^th Prize at the Federal Choir Competition of the DMR; 2001: 4^th Prize at the 2^nd Brahms International Choir Competition Musica Mundi; 2005: 1^st Prize at the State Choir Competition NRW; 2004-2007: 4 Christmas concerts with the Deutschen Welle with worldwide live broadcast; 2006: radio productions with the WDR; 2007: Live Concert from the Großen Sendesaal of the WDR in Cologne; 2007: 1^st Prize at International Choir Competition in Budapest; 2008: Participation at the International Competition of European and North American broadcasters; 2009: 4^th CD production. Vox Bona is directed by Karin Freist-Wissing since 1990.
