Kamerkoor Vocaliber (Chambe Choir)

Born: 2011 - Huizen, the Netherlands

Kamerkoor Vocaliber started in February 2011 in the living room of conductor Richard Vos with a small group of enthusiastic singers. A serious work was immediately started, a double choir Nederlandse Matteüs Passie, composed by Richard Vos. This was performed in April 2011 with the Cantorij uit Baarn, also under the direction of Richard Vos.

Vocaliber mainly focuses on concert practice. The choir wants to perform as broad and challenging a repertoire as possible, from Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck to contemporary music, including compositions by its own conductor. Vocaliber is a chamber choir for advanced singers. It is expected that the notes will be rehearsed at home so that music can be made during rehearsals. The choir wants to grow to a maximum of 20 singers.
