Stefan Vinke (Tenor)

Born: Osnabrueck, Gemany

The German tenor, Stefan Vinke, studied voice with Edda Moser in Cologne and with Eugene Kohn. He graduates as church musician.

Stefan Vinke's first engagement was with the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe, Germany, in 1993. He sand lyrical roles for two seasons and then changed to the Theater Krefeld - Mönchengladbach, performing as Tony (West Side Story), Beppe (Pagliacci), 1st Geharnischter (Zauberflöte), Hoffmann (Les Contes d'Hoffmann) and Erik (Fliegender Holländer).

Jan Maerkl invited Stefan Vinke to the National Theater Mannheim as 1st heroic tenor for the season 1999-2000. In the new Ring, he will sing Sienmund, then Lohengrin, Parsifal, Florestan and Erik, as well as for the following season in Hoffmann and in Goldmark’s Königin von Saba.
