Ensemble Via Luce (Vocal & Instrumental Ensemble)

Founded: 2016 - Paris, France

Association of general interest, Via Luce aims to stimulate the creation, to disseminate and promote the European artistic heritage, particularly in the musical field. Its primary mission is to bring together a musical ensemble made up of some fifty young professionals, most of whom come from National or Regional Conservatories, French Higher Poles (Pôles supérieurs français) and Universities.

This ensemble was created in 2016 by Agathe Mayeres and Peter Vizard, both experinced teachers. Via Luce is defined as a group with variable size composed of a vocal ensemble and an instrumental ensemble whose members are recruited on audion, and additional musicians, as needed.

Designed as a training ground for its musicians thanks to a support of the project by well-known personalities of the musical world, and also as a place of diffusion of the musical patrimony with its public, Via Luce approaches an extremely varied repertoire ranging from the Baroque music to the contemporary music. Via Luce organizes about twenty concerts a year in France and abroad, courses and competitions.

Attaching great importance to the territorial network, Via Luce regularly associates with its artistic approach other ensembles (Orchestre-Atelier Ostinato, Orchestre du CRR de Nantes, RomEnsemble de la Civica Scuola delle Arti di Roma), as well as primary and secondary schools. secondary education, including CHAM classes.
