Takashi Uematsu (Conductor)

Born: Japan

The Japanese conductor, Takashi Uematsu, is Musical director, conductor of Gifu Bach-Chor. Professor of Gifu University. Read music at Department of Music, Tokyo Gakugei University and at Department of Vocal Music of Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, where he was a founder and leader of Cantata Society of the University. After returned from two-year musical study at University of Music and Dramatic Arts in Vienna, he founded the Gifu Bach-Chor in 1976. Since then, he has been conducting many vocal works of Bach, Mozart, Schubert, Haydn performed with Nagoya Bach Orchestra and Nagoya City Philharmonic. Three vocal (Tenor) recitals.
