UNT Collegium Singers (Vocal Ensemble)

Founded: Denton, Texas, USA

The Collegium Singers of the University of North Texas (UNT): College of Music, is an ensemble of 18-24 singers who specialize in the performance of music from the 16th through the 18th centuries and which usually performs with the University of North Texas Baroque Orchestra.

They have given North American premieres of several large compositions, such as Telemann's Der Tod Jesu. They have also been the core choir in the performance of Handel's oratorios Jephtha, Sampson, and Saul under Maestro Graeme Jenkins, music director of the Dallas Opera. Theodora was performed in February 2012.
