Wolfram Teßmer (Bass)

Born: Germany

The German bass, Wolfram Teßmer, studied church music at the Kirchenmusikschule Greifswald. There, he received first singing lesson and took solo roles. From 1993 to 2000 he studied at the Hochschule für Musik "Hanns Eisler" in Berlin with Kammersänger Wolfgang Hellmich. He attended master-classes with Peter Schreier, Max van Egmond, Helmuth Rilling and others, and was a member of the Lied class of Professor Wolfram Rieger.

Wolfram Teßmer has a wide repertoire (e.g. the major oratorios of J.S. Bach, Georg Frideric Handel and Haydn), and has already made a name as an oratorio specialist in numerous concerts, including at the Schauspielhaus and the Berliner Philharmonie. He is even asked as an interpreter of new music, such as various premieres in Rheinsberg and Frankfurt.
