Andreas Sommerfeld (Baritone)

Born: Leipzig, Germany

The German baritone, Andreas Sommerfeld, studied in its hometown Leipzig singing and piano. In 1980 he won the 2^nd Prize with the International Johann Sebastian Bach Competition.

Since then Andreas Sommerfeld is in demand both as concert and opera singer, with numerous international festivals and has undertaken concert tours all over Europe.

Andreas Sommerfeld lectured at the Leipzig University and since 1999 at the Hochschule für Musik "Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy". He is represented as a juror with international competitions.
