Born: March 14, 1932 - Bucharest, Romania

The Romanian bass, Marius Rintzler, commenced his studies in Bucharest with courses in singing and composition.

Marius Rintzler made his professional debut at the Bucharest Opera and later became a member of the State Theatre in Dortmund in 1967. In his career Rintzler has sung in music festivals in numerous countries and has performed at Glyndebourne, the San Francisco Opera, the Deutsche Opera am Rheim and the Dallas Opera. He has appeared with eminent conductors such as Carlo Maria Giulini, Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos, Pierre Boulez, Otmar Suitner, Daniel Barenboim, Nicola Rescigno, Herbert von Karajan, Hans Swarowsky and Bernard Haitink.
